Mitchell Alter Received his B.S. Degree from Brooklyn College in 1966, M.S. Degree from New York University in 1969, and M.B.A.  from Saint John's University in 1973.  He is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma, the national business honor society.  He founded the firm in 1979.

Andrew Alter Received his B.B.A. Degree from Hofstra University in 1998. He worked as an auditor for KPMG before joining Alter Associates.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants,  the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the American Insitute of Certified Public Accountants- Tax Section and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants- Personal Financial Planning Section.  He became a partner in 2001.  In 2011, Andrew began the wealth management and financial planning firm Alter Wealth Management, LLC.

Andrew holds the following designations: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner (R), Personal Financial Specialist, Chartered Global Management Accountant.  Andrew is also a member of the AICPA's National CPA Financial Planning Insights Panel.
